Slow Cooker Hot Cider

Help your hydration this holiday season with a delicious hot drink recipe crafted with the colder months in mind! Plus, this drink pairs well with a healthy plate!

  • Kitchen String
  • Coffee Mugs

Ingredients 

  • 8 whole cloves
  • 8 whole allspice berries
  • 8 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 gallon apple cider (non-alcoholic)
  • Optional: 1 apple, thinly sliced, for garnish

Instructions

Step 1:
Tie the cloves, allspice, cardamom, and cinnamon sticks into a bundle with a piece of kitchen string.

Step 2:
Combine apple cider and the spice bundle in a 5-quart or larger slow cooker.
Cover and cook on High until hot and aromatic (at least 2 hours).

Step 3:
Reduce heat to low. Remove the spice bundle and stir in brandy. Garnish with apple slices and some of the spices, if desired.
Serve warm.
