“Our standard is giving more than what’s expected”
And just like that 2 months are in the books for 2023! Happy March, everyone, hold on for a few more weeks, Spring is just around the corner!
It’s event week here in TLC and that’s always an exciting time. Friday and Saturday we will be in Las Vegas at the beautiful Aria Hotel and Casino Resort. We will have a business training day on Friday and will have an amazing Gala to celebrate the end of our 15-day challenge contest for season 2 on Saturday. It’s going to be a great weekend and it will end with someone winning $25,000 dollars on Saturday night.
I can’t wait to be a part of it all. Most of our staff will start arriving Wednesday and Thursday in Las Vegas so we can start preparing to make everything amazing. The preparation for this weekend started many months ago though. Countless meetings and idea discussions have taken place and many visions have been cast.
Jack Fallon of course is always casting his vision for our events and inspiring everyone to do a great job. Many of our corporate staff are also involved in figuring out how we can deliver the best event possible. It’s definitely a team effort and one thing that always comes up in discussion is how can we give people more than what they expect.
I have been a part of so many Total Life Changes events and I can tell you that I always walk away at the end of the events feeling proud and knowing in my heart that we gave people more than what they expected. It’s a great feeling and it is a team effort for sure but I did want to take some time this week to single out a very special person.
This special person’s name is Tricia Crawford. She is the TLC director of events and we are so grateful to have her here at TLC!
Four years ago when she joined our staff we had no idea what a blessing she would become. Not just because she does such a great job but also because she was such a great fit for the company and our culture.
By the time Tricia finished her first year with TLC I felt like she had been here for 10. She is definitely a huge part of our TLC family and I just wanted to take a moment to recognize her this week. We all know before the event even starts this weekend that its going to be great. Tricia is a big part of that and so are many of the other people working on stage and behind the scenes.
We have all watched Tricia work for many years now so we already know that this week she will be getting up early and staying up late every single day to make sure that everything is just perfect. Another thing that we have learned about her over the years is that she’s going to be trying to figure out right until the very last second how to provide more than what people expect.
This attitude and thought process is not just for the people attending the event either. Her attitude even extends to me and the rest of the staff here at TLC. There’s always at least a handful of things that we don’t even know are gonna happen and we are in all the rehearsals and everything leading up to the event. She is very clever at surprising us too!
Tricia is always giving more than what is expected and today we salute her! She is talented enough to give 80% effort and do a great job yet it seems she is always giving 120% somehow.
There are some great companies, organizations, and movements out there that are doing great things in the world. Many times these organizations have a face to them, sorta like TLC has Jack and John but there are always some really great people beyond that. You might never hear about them or see them but any great company has great people everywhere. One of those people here is Tricia Crawford.
Of course, there are many others but this week is event week and there is no better time to recognize you Tricia than now! We don’t have to wait for the event to be over to decide if it was great. We already know it will be and because of you, it will be more than what anyone expects!
