Ingredients
- 1 lb. 93% lean ground turkey
- ½ white onion
- ½ red bell pepper
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- ½ tsp dried oregano leaves
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
- Fresh cilantro
- Can of whole kernel corn
Optional to serve
Directions
In a large pan over medium heat, break ground turkey into small pieces.
Allow turkey to cook for approx. 5 minutes until all meat is browned. (Tip: Turkey should reach an internal temperature of 165 °F.)
Chop onion and bell pepper.
In a small bowl, combine chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, ground paprika, and dried oregano.
Add spice mix, onion, bell pepper, and tomato sauce to pan. Stir.
Reduce to low heat and cover. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes.
Break lettuce leaves into pieces the size of taco shells.
Fill lettuce leaves with turkey mixture. Enjoy!
Optional:
Top with corn kernels and chopped cilantro.
