Cranberries prevent urinary tract infections, or UTIs. The high level of antioxidant proanthocyanidins (PACs) in cranberries stops certain bacteria from adhering to the urinary tract walls, which prevents infection.
Cranberries contain vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin K. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, which blocks free radicals, improves iron absorption, boost the immune system, and aids in collagen production, which helps wound healing. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps limit free radical production and also aids in immune system enhancement. Vitamin K supports strong bones, helps enhance cognitive health, and prevents mineralization in the arteries.
Cranberries may also prevent cavities. It disrupts the building block of plaque known as glucan. This then prevents the bacteria that plaque is composed of from adhering to the tooth surface.
4. Blood Pressure
