                      Ingredients
- 1 lb. 93% lean ground turkey
- ½ white onion
- ½ red bell pepper
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- ½ tsp dried oregano leaves
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
Optional to serve
- Fresh cilantro
- Can of whole kernel corn
Directions
- In a large pan over medium heat, break ground turkey into small pieces. 
- Allow turkey to cook for approx. 5 minutes until all meat is browned. (Tip: Turkey should reach an internal temperature of 165 °F.) 
- Chop onion and bell pepper. 
- In a small bowl, combine chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, ground paprika, and dried oregano. 
- Add spice mix, onion, bell pepper, and tomato sauce to pan. Stir. 
- Reduce to low heat and cover. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes. 
- Break lettuce leaves into pieces the size of taco shells. 
- Fill lettuce leaves with turkey mixture. Enjoy! 
Optional:
- Top with corn kernels and chopped cilantro.
