Indulge in a classic taste of Korean cuisine with this easy bulgogi bowl! “Bulgogi,” meaning “fire meat” in Korean, offers a unique blend of smoky, sweet, and savory flavors. In this tasty dish, tender and juicy ground beef is combined with a variety of veggies and marinated with Korean barbecue sauce for a simple yet delicious lunch or dinner!
 
                      Ingredients
- 2 lb. 90/10 Lean Ground Beef
- 2 - Cups Brown Rice
- 4 - Bell Peppers
- 1 - Sweet Onion
- Sliced Carrots
- Olive Oil
- Korean Barbeque Sauce (Bought or Prepared)
Optional
- Sliced Cucumber
- Kimchi
- Sesame Seeds
- Chives or Spring Onions
Directions
- Pour rice into a medium saucepan and rinse to remove excess starch. 
- Add 4 cups water and 2 tsp. olive oil to saucepan. 
- Bring rice to a boil, then reduce heat and cover. Let simmer for 45 minutes or until rice is tender. 
- Dice bell peppers and sweet onion. 
- Drizzle a large pan with olive oil. Place over medium-high heat, then add the peppers and onions. Sauté until softened but not browned. 
- Add ground beef to softened vegetables. Cook until browned. 
- Drain any excess fat and return pan to burner. 
- Add sliced carrots and Korean barbecue sauce to taste. Stir to combine. 
- Remove vegetable and beef mixture from heat. 
- Spoon cooked rice into bowls, followed by beef and vegetable mixture. Enjoy! 
- Optional: Serve with sliced cucumber and kimchi or garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds.
